Frightening Fashion

Not diggin' the whole costumey vibe of Halloween?

It's ok, doll. {#DifferentStrokes}

Want to still fit in around the water cooler, at a Playdate at the Patch, or while you're whippin' and nae nae-in' at your neighbor's party on the 31st...without looking like you gave a fizzle? I gotcha covered. Here's some inspiration to just add a touch of terror to your tresses, a subtle spirity spunk to your step and a bit of a bite to your bounce.

{Monster Mani}
OPI's Black Onyx with a top coat of Silver Shatter. Eeeek! Now ya look mysterious!

{Catty Corners}
Like LC. This girl wins the award for the most perfectly perfected cat eye on the planet. You can't disagree! She completely nails the whole check "meowt" vibe. Copy her look with your fave liquid liner and you'll be "feline" fine.

{Killa Kisser}
Matte, matte, matte. Prep that pout with ELF's exfoliator lipstick...moisturize with your favorite EOS lip balm...and slap on some Kate Moss's Lasting Finish matte by Rimmel {Rossetto Rouge, yo!}. You'll get that whole late 90s/glammy goth look.

{Batty Buns}
Sweep it up top - this one's not a flop! Add some bats and you'll be all that.

{All Ears}
Love those lobes and pop over to Etsy. Soon enough you'll be feelin' festy!

{Spooky Studs}
Wear anything with studs. Anything.

{Trippy Tank}
Find your fave and slap on an iron transfer. BOOm! Saved ya shipping + handling.

{Scary Skirt}
Tis the Season of Pumpkin, honey! This shade needs to be rocked around the clock.

{Loony Legs}
Stripe those skinnies under a black mini. {Or, really an A-line. Keep your sassy, classy.}

{Bewitching Bags}
Going on a lil trip? Grab this orange Coach Weekender duo in nifty nylon and pack your pretties in pumpkin!

{Shiverin' Shabooties}
"Amal" over this look right now. Mrs. Clooney owned these lack suede ankle boots like a dang boss.

Thanks and love if you click above!

Misunderstood Munchies

I'm all about the love and the light, ya'll. And, you know I loooooove me a list of top faves somethin' FIERCE! Spreading the good word on anything and everything is pretty much my life's mission.

Now, I love all things equally...to some degree...but when it comes to candy, I'm a snob and a half. I wholeheartedly blame Big M. The dude raised me on Snickers and Peanut M&Ms. {Don't get me started on my adoration for Snickers with ALMONDS!} He's now encouraging the next generation to sweet talk homeowners on Halloween Night by "putting in a good word for him" so he can get a cut of the loot. He also taught them to "scan the bowl properly" and to accidentally take a handful of bars and to scoff at the lame-o "one per Trick-or-Treater" rule.

Can't blame him. Look at the chocoholic he lives with! His bride {CoCo} is a ruthless loon when it comes to Dark Milky Ways. She and I can polish off a bag in one sitting...including the emergency bar in the freezer. {I live a charmed life with these two as parents!}

You know I can snack with the best of 'em. But, alas! Even a cheery cherub sometimes gives a "what the feezie?" to some mysterious oddities. As hard as I've tried over the course of my 29-ish years, I just can't understand the following sweets. I know I'll get some flack for listing these "curiosities" on here, but I need to get this off my chest once and for all.

{Here's my list of questionable candies...}

Honey, I'm NOT home.

Worse than clowns. Yep, I said it.

CoCo is disowning me as I whine.

Molasses and peanut butter. Stop it.

I tried. I tried so hard.

Blondes don't always have more fun, lol.

All of it.

Nice try, Junior.

A picture is worth a thousand words.
Or in my case, 11...
I've just ticked off my Dad and my Father-in-Law.

Whoops. Now we can add my Mother-in-Law to the list!

Sigh.

The blog's namesake is officially going to stop reading at this point.

Not if this was the last food on God's green Earth.

Dot's all folks!

Click if you're diggin' the crazy!Thanks buddies!

SCARY MOVIE Mumblings

Creepy movies.
I can't even DEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!

But, I watch 'em.

Growing up, I developed a phobia for striped sweaters, hockey masks and dolls that talked. Freddy was always waiting in my closet, Jason was outside my window and Chucky was in the playroom. I was darn sure of it!

I'm not even going to type out the name {P&nn!wi$e} for fear of summoning that painted face lunatic. BAH!!!!!!!!

Who was YOUR villain? Who scared the bajeezie outta you? Hmm? Tell me! Even the strongest of us all HAS to get the shakes from some goon. In tonight's Halloweena-palooza 2015 episode, I'm going to pay homage to some movie scenes that terrified me as a kiddo. {Or a BIG kiddo! lol} Why, you ask? Because, I'm random! And, this is what random people do on a Sunday eve.

Dear Kid. It's a clown. IN A SEWER.
Common sense, dummy!

It.

The troll. STOP IT.

Cat's Eye.

The tv scene. Oh, come onnnnn!!!!!!

The Ring.

Stripes and a sharp high five.
Forever etched in my memory.

Nightmare on Elm Street.

No.

The Exorcist.

Again with the dang TV crap!

Poltergeist.

#Rotten

The Omen.

Oh for the love.
WHY DID YOU GET OUT OF THE CAR?!!!!

TCM.

HORRIFIC.

Open Water.
Technically not a scary movie, but, umm. HECK YES IT IS.

Nope.

Silence of the Lambs.

A ticked off doll.
RUN, honey!!!!!!!!

Phew! I think that's about all the nerve I have tonight to post about spine tingling scenes. Eeeeeek!!! Now I got the heebie jeebies!!!!! I think I'm gonna go pep up a lil bit by watching some Rainbow Brite cartoons, sipping some pink lemonade and tossing some sparkles in my face. {While galloping on a unicorn just for good measure.}
Just a click on the pic counts as the vote!
Much love.

Nighty night! Mwahahahaha!

Zeta-ween

Today's October 15th...and if you're a Zeta...well hello there, sisters! Thanks for poppin' by on our special day!

I could take all day, week, month, year to express my love for this sisterhood. I don't care that I'm wayyyy past graduation. Once a Zeta - always a Zeta. I still wear my letters, and I wear them proud. {Granted, it's just around the house, but I still rock 'em!} The memories I made during 4 super short years on campus will live on in my heart forever. Although I was 496 miles away from home, my sistas gave me a sense of belonging. A sense of family in the Midwestern cornfields. A sense of perfect peace.

My badge sits safe and sound in my jewelry stand - tucked right alongside my gold officer dangles {and pearl for grades!}. The Twinados have been raised with "Greek" values since birth - learning about how crowns relate to strawberries...and how turquoise blue and steel grey will always be in fashion.

Today's our {Founder's Day} - and what better month to celebrate 'ol ZTA than in the month of OCTOBER?!

...but today's another time stamp! I don't want to miss a day of our 31-day journey, so I'm just leaving this lil excerpt here tonight so I can pop back soon with some Halloween photos from my Zeta Days.

Stay tuned for Pumpkins and Angels and Sig Eps...oh my!
